Disney World New Year’s Eve Fireworks

Walt Disney World New Year's Eve Fireworks

I love a good fireworks show in Walt Disney World. There’s something truly magical about watching the sky light up in colorful patterns along with Disney themes and classic tunes.

When it comes to the Disney World holidays, hard ticket events including Mickey’s Not-S0-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party showcase fireworks at Magic Kingdom at their finest. Having written that, you will be paying a pretty penny to see them.

Not for Disney World New Year’s Eve Fireworks, though. The high-in-the-sky beauty is complimentary with a valid ticket or Disney World annual pass, happily. Here’s where to see them to help you narrow down the fun.

Magic Kingdom Fireworks

This year, Magic Kingdom will offer two showings of its Fantasy in the Sky New Year’s Eve show on December 30th and December 31st. At both 6:30 pm and midnight, guests may celebrate the holiday. I love this idea, especially for families with younger children who need to be in bed early.

At this time, Magic Kingdom hours are 9 am to 12:00 am. If you’re staying in a Walt Disney World Resort, you’ll get an early entry of 8:30 am.

Epcot New Year’s Eve Fireworks

There will be two different light and fireworks shows at Epcot for New Year’s Eve. Beginning at 6:30 pm, Luminous – The Symphony of Us can be seen around the World Showcase Lagoon. Then at 11:54 pm, Cheers to the New Year: A Sparkling Celebration will show through midnight.

There’s a fun tradition in Epcot as well: countries celebrate the new year at the exact moment the actual country is! If I had to offer the best place, head to the UK Pavilion for a fun, festive time before 6 pm.

Epcot closes at 1 am and park opening time is 9 am. If you’re staying in a Walt Disney World Resort, you’ll get an early entry of 8:30 am.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios New Year’s Eve Fireworks

You can ring in New Year’s Eve early at Hollywood Studios with a Fantasmic! showing at 9:30 pm. Apart from the nightly show, there will be no additional fireworks. In the past, however, there has been lively music until midnight.

If you’re staying in a Walt Disney World Resort, you’ll get an early entry of 8:30 am as the park opening is at 9 am on New Year’s Eve.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom New Year’s Eve Fireworks

Early bedtimes are ideal for New Year’s at Animal Kingdom – the park will close at 6 pm on New Year’s Eve with a rope drop at 8 am. If you’re staying in a Walt Disney World Resort, you’ll get an early entry of 7:30 am.
